• Journey towards 10th Bipartite Settlement commenced
• Common Charter of Demands submitted to IBA
• Get ready for the tasks to achieve it
As informed earlier, UFBU met the IBA in their office in Mumbai today morning for submitrting our charter of demands. All the constitutents of UFBU were present in the meeting. From the IBA, Mr. K.V. Kamath, the Chairman of IBA and CMD of PNB was present along with Mr. T M Bhasin, Vice President, IBA and CMD, Indian Bank, Mr. D Sarkar, CMD, Union Bank of India, Mr. S L Bansal, CMD, Oriental Bank of Commerce, Mr. Bhaskar Sen, CMD, United Bank of India, Mr. Syam Srinivasan, MD, Federal Bank, Mr. Balakrishna V Chaubal, SBI, Mr. Unnikrishnan, Dy. Chief Executive, IBA and Mr. Probir Moulik, Senior Advisor, HR&IR, IBA.
On behalf of the Workman Unios viz. AIBEA, NCBE, BEFI, INBEF and NOBW, the common Charter of Demands were explained and submitted to the IBA. Similarly, on behalf of the Officers Association, viz. AIBOC, AIBOA, INBOC and NOBO, they also submitted their common Charter of Demands.
From the UFBU, it was emphasised to the IBA that in the present circumstances of over-the-top inflation and alarming price rise, increasing workload, changing job profile, etc., there is need for adequate wage revision. We also emphasised the need for early commencement of negotiations on our demands and expeditious settlement. IBA Chairman stated that while discussing our demands, the mangement’s issues are also be taken up for resolution. He assured to take steps to commence the negotiations at the earliest and would also willing to conclude the settlement wthin an agreed timeframe.
We append herein the common Charter of Demands submitted to IBA by the Workman unions.
Comrades, with this, the journey towards the 10th Bipartite Settlement has commenced. But all of us know that this is just the beginning of the road towards achieving our demands. There are bound to be a lot of hurdles and difficulties on the way. We have to overcome these obstacles by our unity and struggles and reach the goal.
History shows that we have done it in the past. With your unity, unflinching loyalty, traditional miliancy and with our conviction in struggles, we shall achieve it this time too.
