The Strike Notice has been sent to IBA by UFBU-22nd and 23rd August 2012:

The Strike Notice has been sent to IBA by UFBU expressing the decision to go on 2 days strike on 22nd and 23rd August 2012; in pursuance of the issues that are confronting the Banking Industry.
 We reproduce hereunder the text of the Strike Notice served to IBA in Form -1 dated 6th August, 2012 contents of which are self-explicit.

This has reference to the Strike Notice served on IBA by UFBU dt. 8-7-2012 and the consequent conciliation proceedings before the Dy. CLC on 18-7-2012 in Delhi.  As per the advice of the Dy. CLC, a bipartite meeting was also held on 24-7-2012 between IBA and UFBU to explore the possibility of an amicable solution to the issues and demands raised by UFBU.  But unfortunately, no solution could be found out by the IBA to resolve the issues.  Hence reviving the agitation has been forced on the UFBU.
                        HENCE, in accordance with the provisions contained in sub-section (1) of Section 22 of the I.D. Act – 1947, we hereby give you notice that the members of all the constituent unions of United Forum of Bank Unions ( AIBEA,  AIBOC,   NCBE,  AIBOA,   BEFI,   INBEF,  INBOC,  NOBW, NOBO)  propose to go on strike on the 22nd and 23rd August, 2012 on the same issues and demands as contained in our Notice dt. 8-7-2012.
