Blood
Donation Camp held on 26.03.2015 a grand success -
We
congratulate all Donors and our Units
We are glad to inform all our units that the
Blood Donation Camp conducted by our Federation, on the occasion of 90th Birthday of Com. N.
Sampath, former President, AIBEA and Chairman, TNBEF, on 26th
March, 2015 at Chennai was a grand success. The Blood Camp was organized in
tie-up with Rajiv Gandhi Govt. General Hospital, Blood Bank, Chennai.
The camp was inaugurated by Com. P.
Balakrishnan, President, TNBEF, and Com. R. Vijayakumar, Secretary
welcomed the gathering. Dr. Padma, Civil Surgeon & Chief of the Blood Bank,
Rajiv Gandhi Govt. General Hospital along with her team members were
introduced. The Office-Bearers of the Federation offered floral tributes to
Com. N. Sampath and the Blood Donation Camp commenced thereafter in the
presence of a large gathering of our members.
We are happy to inform that the response
from our units and members was overwhelming with large participation right from
the beginning. The donors were standing in long queue. The camp commenced at
10.00 a.m. and concluded by 2.30
p.m. with a participation of 130 members
from all our City Units.
A valedictory
function was held in the afternoon. The Doctors’ Team from the Hospital offered
felicitation to our Federation for choosing them for the project. The Blood
Bank which collected blood from our donors, according to the Hospital
Authorities, will be used for the cancer patients being treated
at the General Hospital who belong to the poorer section of the society. On
behalf of the Federation, mementoes were distributed to the Blood Bank Team, in
appreciation of their services rendered on the occasion.
Comrades, we take this opportunity once
again to thank all our members who voluntarily donated blood on the occasion of
90th Birthday of our beloved leader, Com. N. Sampath. We also thank all our units
in making the Blood Donation Camp a grand success.
