CIRCULAR NO. 21 18th August, 2012
TO ALL CONSTITUENT UNIONS AND MEMBERS:
Dear Comrades,
Go Ahead with the All India Strike on22nd and 23rd August 2012
In our earlier Circular we had informed that despite the UFBU’s gesture to defer the strike on 25th and 26th July, 2012 and agreeing to explore the possibilities of finding acceptable solutions to our demands, no improvement has taken place. Hence UFBU has decided to go ahead with the agitation and strike action on 22nd and 23rd August, 2012. Now we have received a notice from the Dy. CLC, Delhi calling for a conciliation meeting on 21st August, 2012. This itself shows that it is just a formality.
In the meantime, yesterday, it is reported that the Government has decided to bring the Banking Laws Amendment Bill to the Parliament on 22-8-2012.
Neither our issues are getting resolved nor the Government showing any respite to their reforms agenda. Hence go ahead with the strike action on 22nd and 23rd August, 2012 as schedule and make the strike a massive success.
UFBU will be meeting thereafter to decide further course of intensify agitations and more and more strike actions.
With regards,
(P.K.SARKAR)
