CIRCULAR LETTER NO: 26/126/2011/20                          3rd June, 2011

TO  ALL OFFICE BEARERS / STATE FEDERATIONS &

ALL INDIA BANKWISE ORGANISTIONS

Dear Comrades,
Reg : 7th July, 2011 All India Bank Strike
The Central Committee meeting of AIBEA was held in Delhi on 20.05.2011 after the National Convention of UFBU.  The meeting was presided over by Com. Rajen Nagar, our President alongwith our Vice Presidents on the presidium.
The meeting welcomed the decision of the UFBU Convention to launch All India agitation and Strike action on 7th July, 2011 on the various important issues and demands of the bank employees and banking industry.  The meeting noted that the agitational call was most timely at a time when the Government is taking steps to speed up their agenda and to fight for the genuine and pending demands of the bank employees.

The meeting decided that all-out steps should be taken :
a)      To explain the issues and the need for this agitation / strike to our rank and file members.

b)    To campaign amongst the general public on the adverse impact of the Government’s proposed steps.

c)     To massively mobilize all the employees in the programmes and to make the strike a total success in every Bank.
The meeting decided that every effort should be taken to co-ordinate with all other constituents of UFBU at all levels and initiatives should be taken by units to contact the other unions and activate the UFBU in all centres.

The meeting exhorted our units to hold Committee meetings, Office Bearers meetings, General Body meetings, Areawise meetings, District – Town Level Co-ordination Committee meetings, Branch visits by the base unions, etc. since merely issuing circulars will not be adequate.
